Professor Arianna Facchi from the University of Milan, leader of WP 3.2, introduces us to “IrriLAB,” the experimental, educational, and demonstration platform dedicated to irrigation.
This innovative open-air laboratory, located at Cascina Baciocca, one of the experimental-educational farms of the Functional Center for Agricultural Farms (CFAA) at the University of Milan, focuses on the development and fine-tuning of new irrigation technologies as well as advanced irrigation control and management systems.
As part of the Agritech project, the attention is particularly directed towards maize cultivation, one of the main crops in Lombardy, for which water availability is a crucial factor.
